As i have been redundant from my job i wont be doing that much on this for a while, i have know about this spot for almost 20 years so a few more months wont do any harm...

Ok so the Bobcat wont shift them trees, getting a mini digger in now. The rippled concrete flat bottom surface is going to be the most expensive to sort out, looking like a bit more than i first expected..
More Progress this week for sure

The Two Ditches
Hells Boneyard

The bottom surface, seems like i decided to start at the smoothest bit in my earlier photos

Ok so Ali Scott and myself went down to some clearing.
Broke the chainsaw so we did not get much done. This Friday we will move the bobcat in and get her cleared.
The bottom surface is rippled, like in farmyards, so it will have to smoothed over before skateboard wheels can roll on it, its ok for bikes though i reckon.

Ditch 1 has almost perfect run up to its bank

This is the steepness of ditch 2. It will need alot of work to make it skatebale as the bottom has all broken away.

Ok so the entrance to ditch 1 is quite narrow, with steel girders in the ground, impossible to knock down even with the front end loader, so I am going have to hire a Bobcat to finish the clearing which will make for an interesting wee video clip...

Keeping you posted

2004 Dortmund comp, was good enough banter, slept in the outdoor public skatepark for the duration, which had bouncers to keep non skaters out.
Got to meet all the flip team, free booze and the Misfits playing
footage of Clynn skating in it, he came 17th outta 60 odd

anyone for steep banks from doom?

Day 3

Day 3
It snowed this morning so no better day than today to go visit Hell, and see how the snow sits within its gates haha.

I got hold of a John Deere front end loader yoke to help clear the veggie carpet, but it turns out that it does not fit into the first pit, so i decided to clear the second pit which sits right beside the first one, someone say transfers??? oh yea. I was not going to touch this side until i finished the first pit but better to get something done than nothing at all.

The walls on this are much steeper and a shorter flat bottom will make interesting thoughts.

Day 2 and I had to get a chainsaw. Nothing like being let loose with a machine able to shred wood to bits and limbs if your not so careful...
Checked the concrete underneath the veggie carpet and its not too bad at all.
The back two corners are already bowled out so this will help with the finished product.

This has been inspired by a post on www.bogginzine.com about building your own skate spot.
I must admit i have been sitting on this spot for a number of years and just thought it could not be done, but i guess you always know when the time is right.

So i have started to get this underway
